1983 Rover MINI 1.0L Petrol · A148 HDD

The 1983 Rover Mini passed its most recent MOT on 19 March 2022 at 33,181 miles with no defects recorded, placing its maintenance trend as stable on paper and showing no active advisories or failures across the supplied history. This single clean test gives no evidence of worsening mechanical condition, though the sparse record limits deeper trend analysis. The odometer read 33,181 miles at that March 2022 examination, equating to an average of roughly 772 miles per year across the vehicle's 43-year life. Such low accumulation suggests extended periods of storage or light recreational use rather than daily driving. The history shows no earlier entries, so we cannot chart rapid accumulation or identify gaps; the lone clean pass simply confirms the car presented sound on the day. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of structural integrity and corrosion, particularly on sills, subframes, and suspension mounting points, as a 43-year-old Mini stored for long spells will rot invisibly even after a clean test. The tester raised no advisories on brake discs, calipers, or suspension bushes, but standing vehicles commonly develop seized handbrake mechanisms and flat-spotted tyres that a static MOT may not expose under load. Given the minimal documentary trail, verify the recorded mileage against V5C and service stamps before purchase. The absence of faults is reassuring, yet low-use classics demand scrutiny of fuel system, cooling, and rubber perishes that a single pass cannot certify.
