2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.7L Diesel · A1 MWS

The Hyundai Tucson presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 23 October 2025 at 66,887 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of clean results since 2022. The owner has clearly kept the vehicle to a standard that satisfies annual statutory inspection without accruing advisories or repeat failures. Recorded mileage sits at 66,887 against a nine-year lifespan, an average of roughly 7,432 miles per year and typical for the age. The DVSA log shows 43,025 miles on 17 October 2022, rising to 50,800 by 6 October 2023, 59,572 on 22 October 2024, and 66,887 on 23 October 2025. Annual accumulation held near 7,000 to 8,800 miles throughout. The history is sparse but clean, with no gaps or abrupt jumps that would hint at neglected storage or ex-fleet abuse. One anomaly warrants a glance: on 6 October 2023 the tester issued a fail at 50,800 miles yet logged no defects, before the same-day pass at identical mileage. This suggests an administrative or procedural rejection rather than a mechanical fault, but a buyer should confirm with the selling garage that no concealed defect prompted the initial rejection. Beyond that check, the absence of advisories on tyres, brake discs, suspension bushes, coil springs, or corrosion across five tests implies sound structural integrity and consumable care. I would still advise a physical inspection of underside protection and brake caliper freedom given the car's age, and verification of service records to corroborate the MOT cleanliness.
