2017 Volkswagen Polo 1.0L Petrol · AB10 OME

The 2017 Volkswagen Polo presents a clean roadworthiness status with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 12 December 2025 at 36,155 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken run of passes since the earliest entry in this history. No advisories or mechanical faults appear at any stage, indicating the vehicle has not required corrective work within the recorded MOT cycle. Annual mileage sits well below typical expectations for a nine-year-old car. The record shows 13,884 miles at the 15 December 2021 test, rising to 15,661 by 14 December 2022, 19,860 by 4 December 2023, 26,917 by 13 December 2024, and 36,155 by 12 December 2025. That equates to roughly 4,000 miles per year across the sequence, with no abrupt jumps or dormant gaps. The consistently low accumulation points to light use, though standing periods remain a possibility the buyer should consider. Given the absence of flagged defects, the MOT data reveals no recurring suspension, brake, or structural concerns requiring trend analysis. The clean sheet across five tests suggests previous owners kept basic statutory upkeep current. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake disc condition, as these items can degrade through age and inactivity even without MOT advisories. Corrosion on structural members and underbody components warrants a physical check given the vehicle's low mileage and likely limited weather exposure from short journeys. Verify the service history matches the recorded mileages, and confirm tyres, wiper blades, and fluid intervals reflect the same care shown in the test record.
