2012 Mclaren MP4-12C 3.8L Petrol · AB61 MCL

The 2012 McLaren MP4-12C presents a clean roadworthiness status. The most recent test on 8 July 2025 at 16,046 miles passed with no defects recorded, and the maintenance trend across the available history is stable with no advisories or failures at any stage. The recorded mileage shows very light use for a fourteen-year-old vehicle. From the 4 August 2021 test at 11,038 miles, the car covered only 5,008 miles to the 2025 test, averaging roughly 1,146 miles per year. The longest gap falls between 15 May 2023 at 12,263 miles and the 2025 renewal, during which the car added 3,783 miles. No rapid accumulation or abrupt usage spikes appear in the data, and the four recorded tests are all clear with no consumable or mechanical flags raised. Given the spotless MOT record, the previous keeper clearly maintained the car to a standard that avoided even minor test advisories such as tyre wear or wiper defects. A buyer should still arrange an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs, as low-mileage cars left standing for long periods can develop perished rubber components or superficial corrosion not visible during a road test. Prior to purchase, confirm the condition of the exhaust emissions system and structural integrity beneath the sills and subframes. The absence of historical faults suggests no ongoing mechanical trend, but a qualified technician should verify that fluids, calipers, and drivetrain seals have not degraded through inactivity.
