2008 Vauxhall Vectra Exclus Cdti 150 A 1.9L Heavy oil · AC08 WVN

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile following a period of mechanical instability between 2015 and 2020. While the earlier history shows several failures related to suspension components and engine management issues, the most recent tests indicate a significant improvement in maintenance standards. The March 2025 test at 128,147 miles passed with no defects recorded, mirroring a clean result from January 2024 at 114,106 miles. This recent trend suggests that the previous issues with braking systems and engine warnings have been addressed and the vehicle is currently being maintained to a consistent standard. The mileage accumulation is consistent with a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 7,119 miles per year. The data shows steady usage, with the odometer moving from 51,081 miles in July 2015 to 128,147 miles in March 2025. There are no significant periods of long-term inactivity or sudden spikes in mileage that would suggest irregular use. The progression from 94,993 miles in August 2020 to 128,147 miles in 2025 shows a regular driving pattern that typically helps prevent the seizure of components often seen in low-usage vehicles. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on the areas that historically showed recurring faults. The record shows multiple instances of broken coil springs, such as in May 2017 and July 2015, and issues with anti-roll bar linkages. Although the recent tests were clear, the suspension and steering geometry should be checked for any signs of premature wear or noise. The history also notes a corroded central brake pipe in August 2020 and various instances of worn brake discs and pads. It is advisable to inspect the entire braking system, including pipework and calipers, to ensure no further corrosion is developing. The intermittent engine management light issues and exhaust leaks noted in 2018 and 2020 warrant a thorough diagnostic check. While the 2025 record shows no current faults, verifying the integrity of the exhaust system and ensuring the engine management system is free of stored codes is a prudent step. Finally, given the age of the vehicle, checking the condition of the tyres and wiper blades is recommended, as the record shows a pattern of owners allowing these consumables to reach legal limits before replacement.
