2017 Ford Mondeo 2.0L Diesel · AC65 WFC

This Ford Mondeo demonstrates an exceptional record of roadworthiness, characterized by five consecutive years of MOT passes without a single recorded defect or advisory. This consistent trend of clean certificates, culminating in the most recent pass on 26 March 2026, indicates a vehicle that has maintained a high standard of mechanical integrity throughout its testing history. The recorded mileage of 61,941 miles is typical for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,882 miles per year. This steady rate of accumulation suggests a balanced usage profile, which generally avoids the accelerated wear on drivetrain components and suspension bushings associated with high-mileage examples, while also bypassing the degradation of seals and rubber components often found in vehicles that have spent long periods stationary. Given the absence of historical advisories regarding suspension linkages, brake pipe corrosion, or exhaust leaks, the physical inspection should focus on verifying that the vehicle's current condition aligns with its clean documentation. During a test drive, pay close attention to the steering rack for any play or notches and listen for knocks or clunks over uneven surfaces, which would indicate wear in the wishbones or drop links that may have developed since the last inspection. Ensure the braking system is evaluated for consistency by checking for any pedal judder or steering wheel vibration under deceleration, which would suggest warped brake discs. While the MOT history shows no issues with emissions or oil leaks, a visual check of the engine bay for fresh oil misting around the seals and a verification of the exhaust note for any sudden changes in tone will confirm the continued mechanical stability of the powertrain.
