2019 Tesla Model X Long Range AWD Electric · AC69 MJC

The most recent MOT conducted on 23 December 2025 resulted in a pass with no recorded defects. Looking at the overall maintenance trend, the vehicle appears to be in a stable condition, although the history reveals a pattern of wear-and-tear consistent with a high-mileage vehicle. While the latest inspection was clean, the advisories recorded in 2023 and 2024 regarding tyre wear and suspension components indicate that the vehicle is entering a phase where mechanical components are reaching the end of their service life and will require proactive replacement to maintain roadworthiness. With 112,423 miles recorded over approximately seven years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 16,000 miles per year. This is a high annual mileage for this vehicle type, suggesting consistent and heavy usage rather than intermittent or light driving. From a mechanical perspective, this accumulation of mileage places significant stress on the vehicle's chassis, suspension geometry, and braking hardware. While the electric drivetrain is inherently robust, the high usage profile means you should expect more frequent intervals for replacing consumables such as tyres, suspension bushes, and brake pads compared to a lower-mileage equivalent. During your inspection and test drive, you must pay close attention to the front suspension to monitor the condition of the nearside front suspension arm pin or bush, which was flagged as worn in late 2024. Listen for any knocking, clunking, or creaking noises when navigating uneven road surfaces or turning the steering wheel at low speeds, as these are primary symptoms of degraded rubber bushes. Furthermore, the 2023 advisories regarding inner edge tyre wear on the rear axle suggest a history of incorrect wheel alignment or camber issues. You should inspect the current tyres for any uneven tread patterns, particularly on the inner edges, and ensure that the alignment has been properly rectified to prevent premature tyre failure. Given the high mileage, it is also essential to verify the service history to confirm that all scheduled maintenance has been performed. Check the condition of the brake discs for excessive scoring or thinning and inspect the calipers for any signs of binding or uneven wear. Additionally, while the MOT does not assess electrical health, you should check the condition of the 12V auxiliary battery and ensure there are no signs of fluid leaks from the thermal management systems. A thorough physical check of the tyres for any sidewall perishing or bulging is also recommended, though at this mileage, tread depth and alignment-related wear remain the most critical concerns.
