2015 Nissan Juke 1.2L Petrol · AF58 ACF

The vehicle's MOT history is exemplary, showing a consistent string of passes from 2019 through to the most recent inspection in July 2026. Notably, there have been no recorded defects or advisories throughout this period, indicating a highly stable maintenance trend and a vehicle that has consistently met the required standards for roadworthiness. This clean record suggests that no significant mechanical failures or structural issues have been identified by the DVSA during the annual testing cycle. With a recorded mileage of 37,156 miles over eleven years, the vehicle has been driven significantly less than the UK average, averaging approximately 3,378 miles per year. While this low mileage implies minimal wear on the drivetrain, engine internals, and braking surfaces, it also suggests the vehicle may have spent extended periods stationary. Such usage patterns can lead to specific mechanical issues that are not always highlighted by an MOT, particularly regarding the age-related degradation of consumables and the effects of standing. During your inspection, you must look closely for signs of rubber perishing, particularly on the tyre sidewalls, as age-related cracking can occur even if the tread depth is substantial. You should also check the brake discs for excessive corrosion or pitting and test the pedal feel to ensure the calipers are not binding or sticking due to inactivity. On your test drive, listen for any suspension clunks or knocks, as suspension bushes and coil springs can sometimes degrade or seize if the vehicle is not driven regularly enough to maintain their flexibility and lubrication. Finally, it is essential to verify that time-based maintenance has been performed alongside mileage-based servicing. Check the service book to ensure that engine oil and brake fluid have been changed at regular intervals, as these fluids degrade over time regardless of distance covered. You should also assess the condition of the 12V battery, as infrequent use can lead to sulphation and reduced cranking power. Confirming that the vehicle has been serviced according to the manufacturer's calendar-based recommendations will be crucial to ensuring its long-term reliability.
