2007 Honda VT750 0.8L Petrol · AG56 RHZ

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, but the maintenance trend reveals a persistent failure to address recurring mechanical defects. The most recent test on 9 May 2026 at 15,528 miles resulted in a failure for a non-compliant front horn and a noisy rear exhaust. While the horn was subsequently rectified, the exhaust issue has appeared as a fault in every annual test since 2024. This suggests a reactive maintenance approach where the owner only addresses faults upon failure rather than performing preventative upkeep. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 19-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 817 miles per year. Between May 2024 and May 2025, the bike covered only 485 miles, and it added just 152 miles in the year leading up to the latest test. This indicates the vehicle sits for long periods stationary. While this limits wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it often increases the risk of age-related degradation such as perished seals, degraded rubber, and internal corrosion, which are not captured by mileage figures alone. A buyer must physically inspect the rear exhaust system to determine if the noise is caused by a loose bracket, a perforated baffle, or a failing internal baffle, as this fault has persisted for three years. The 2025 failure regarding the rear stop lamp remaining illuminated indicates a potential electrical fault or a faulty light switch that should be tested to ensure no shorts remain. Given the low usage, close attention should be paid to dry rot on tyres and the condition of the brake fluid and rubber hoses, as these components age over time regardless of the distance travelled.
