2007 Volkswagen Golf 1.6L Petrol · AJ07 GOU

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a consistent history of clean MOT passes over the last five years. The most recent test conducted on 30 June 2025 at 126,284 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the mechanical and structural components have met all DVSA safety standards without the presence of recurring failures or escalating wear issues. The mileage accumulation pattern is remarkably consistent for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,600 miles per year. Between June 2021 at 113,655 miles and June 2025 at 126,284 miles, the car covered 12,629 miles, showing regular use rather than long periods of standing which often leads to seizing in the drivetrain and suspension. The lack of significant mileage spikes suggests the vehicle has been used predictably, though the low annual mileage still invites age-related degradation of rubber components and fluid integrity. Despite the clean digital record, a physical inspection should focus on the typical failure points of a 2007 Volkswagen Golf. A buyer must examine the chassis for structural corrosion, particularly along the rear suspension mounting and sills, as MOT tests do not always catch surface rust until it becomes structurally significant. Check the condition of the suspension bushes for cracking and verify that the brake calipers are not binding, as these are the most likely components to show wear despite a clean test history.
