2007 Volvo XC70 2.4L Diesel · AJ07 YVX

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, having achieved a clean MOT pass in July 2025 at 100,280 miles with no recorded defects. This represents an improving trend in maintenance status following a period of recurring suspension issues. While the 2024 test highlighted several mechanical concerns, the lack of advisories in the most recent inspection suggests the owner has likely addressed the identified faults or that the degradation has stabilized. At a recorded 100,280 miles, this 19-year-old Volvo XC70 has averaged approximately 5,278 miles per year. The mileage data shows a consistent usage pattern, with between 2,700 and 3,700 miles covered between each annual test from 2021 to 2025. This low annual mileage suggests less wear on the drivetrain and engine, but it often leads to accelerated degradation of rubber components and metal surfaces due to time and exposure rather than mechanical stress. A buyer must focus their physical inspection on the rear suspension geometry, given the persistent history of corrosion. The rear upper suspension arm was flagged for corrosion in 2022, 2023, and 2024, while the rear coil spring also showed significant corrosion in 2024. Although the 2025 pass was clean, the recurring nature of these rust advisories indicates the vehicle is susceptible to environmental decay. Verify the structural integrity of the mounting points and the condition of the front suspension arm bushes, which were noted as worn in 2024, to ensure the wear has not progressed to a failure.
