2011 Volkswagen Transporter 2.0L Diesel · AJ11 PFG

The Volkswagen Transporter presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, evidenced by the most recent test on 29 January 2026 at 187,040 miles returning a pass with no defects recorded. This clean result follows four consecutive annual passes, indicating the vehicle has not accumulated advisories or failures across the observed five-year span. The mileage pattern reflects consistent, above-average use for a 2011 panel van. Annual accumulation sits near 12,500 miles, with the record showing 170,399 miles at the 20 January 2022 test, rising to 177,264 by 2 February 2023, 183,472 by 2 February 2024, 186,354 by 5 February 2025, and 187,040 by the January 2026 test. The step between 2024 and 2025 shows only 882 miles added, a marked drop from prior years, suggesting the van stood idle or covered minimal distance in that period. The sparse, clean history offers no flagged corrosion, suspension wear, or brake defects to track. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of structural integrity and underbody condition given the high total mileage and the 2024 to 2025 low-use gap, which can promote seized suspension bushes or binding calipers through lack of movement. Examine brake discs for surface pitting and check coil springs for fatigue fractures that a static MOT bay might not expose under light road use. Verify service intervals for the drivetrain and renew worn consumables such as tyres or wiper blades as needed, though the record shows no test failures pointing to skipped basic upkeep. The absence of advisories implies prior owners addressed issues pre-test, but physical confirmation of exhaust emissions and chassis rust remains prudent before purchase.
