2016 MINI Cooper 1.5L Petrol · AJ16 VOY

The vehicle remains in roadworthy condition, though the maintenance trend shows a shift toward deferred consumable upkeep. The most recent test on 5 December 2025 at 35,057 miles recorded a pass but flagged thin front brake pads accompanied by a corresponding dashboard warning. This follows a three-year period of cleanliness between 2022 and 2024, where the vehicle passed with no recorded defects or advisories. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,500 miles per annum. Data shows consistent, low-intensity usage, with only 3,422 miles driven between the December 2024 and December 2025 tests. While this low mileage suggests de-stressed mechanical components on the drivetrain and engine, it often increases the risk of rubber-based component degradation due to age and long periods of standing. A buyer must prioritise a physical inspection of the tyre suite, as the December 2021 test at 21,261 miles revealed all four tyres suffered from edge wear, cracking, or perishing. Given the low mileage, the current tyres may have failed through age rather than tread depth. The buyer should also verify the front brake system immediately, as the 2025 advisory indicates the pads are nearing the end of their service life. There is no evidence of structural corrosion or suspension failure in the history, suggesting the chassis has remained well-protected.
