2016 Ford Transit 2.2L Diesel · AJ16 WFP

The 2016 Ford Transit presents a clean and stable roadworthiness status. The most recent test on 24 June 2025 at 74,904 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of annual passes since at least 2021. The maintenance trend is steady with no worsening or recurring advisory patterns across the five-year record. Mileage accumulation sits at a typical level for a ten-year-old van. The records show 48,977 miles in June 2021, rising to 55,632 by June 2022, 60,903 by June 2023, 67,797 by June 2024, and 74,904 by June 2025. That equates to roughly 6,900 to 7,100 miles added each year with no gaps or sudden jumps. The data is sparse in fault terms but consistent, implying the previous keeper kept to a disciplined annual test routine without deferred entries. No tester flagged suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, binding calipers, corrosion, or exhaust emissions issues at any stage. The absence of advisories across all five tests suggests previous owners addressed wear before it reached reportable thresholds. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody for hidden rust, given Transits of this era are prone to chassis and sill corrosion not always visible at test. Check the condition of consumables such as tyres and wiper blades despite no MOT faults, as these fall outside mandatory failure points when marginally worn. Verify service history to confirm fluids, cambelt if applicable, and brake component replacements were carried out alongside the clean test record.
