2016 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.3L Diesel · AJ16 WWF

The Mitsubishi Outlander presents as roadworthy following its most recent MOT pass on 16 April 2025 at 82,357 miles with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend is stable, with the last two annual cycles producing clean passes. The record shows no recurring advisories or escalating mechanical faults across the observed period. Mileage accumulation is consistent with typical use for a 2016 vehicle. The car covered 8,979 miles between the April 2023 test at 67,578 miles and the May 2024 pass at 76,414 miles, then 5,943 miles to the 2025 test. Annual averages sit near 8,200 miles. The DVSA data is sparse on faults, showing only two failed tests in late April 2023 and early May 2024, both at 67,395 and 76,338 miles respectively, with no defects logged by the tester. Those two failures are anomalous. The tester issued no defect reasons on either occasion, which often points to administrative or presentation issues at the test centre rather than a mechanical defect. The owner rectified the matter within days and secured a pass, suggesting the vehicle was not off the road for extended repair. No corrosion, suspension bush wear, brake binding, or exhaust concerns appear anywhere in the history. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity, brake discs, coil springs, and underbody corrosion given the car is now ten years old. The clean MOT record offers reassurance, but the absence of advisories means wear items such as tyres and wiper blades were either within limits or replaced preemptively. Verify service history to confirm consumables were maintained outside the test regime.
