2002 Volkswagen Caddy 1.9L Diesel · AJ52 HTN

The sole available DVSA record shows the 2002 Volkswagen Caddy failed its MOT on 14 March 2022 at 222,100 miles, with no defects itemised by the tester. On this evidence the maintenance trend cannot be classed as stable, worsening, or improving; the single failed test leaves roadworthiness unconfirmed and the vehicle has not held a valid pass within the last four years. Recorded mileage of 222,100 against a 24-year lifespan equates to roughly 9,254 miles per year, a figure consistent with typical light commercial use. The history provides no intermediate entries, so no rapid accumulation or standing gaps can be established between specific dates. The absence of any test after March 2022 means current odometer state and wear progression are undocumented. A buyer must treat the Caddy as unroadworthy until a fresh physical inspection occurs. The 2022 failure with no listed advisories or defects suggests either a administrative refusal or an omission in the record; either way, the tester rejected the vehicle. Given the age and 222,100 miles, suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, and structural corrosion should be physically checked. Exhaust emissions and drivetrain mounts at this mileage commonly degrade without appearing in a sparse record. Previous ownership care is impossible to judge from one failed entry, but the lack of any subsequent test implies the van may have been retired or used off-road since spring 2022.
