2006 Volkswagen Golf 2.0L Diesel · AK06 SEO

The Volkswagen Golf passed its most recent MOT on 19 December 2025 at 128,061 miles with no defects recorded, and the maintenance trend across the last three years is stable with no advisories or mechanical faults raised. The vehicle shows a clean test history following two isolated early failures in November 2023 and November 2024 that were recorded with no defects listed, indicating administrative or presentation issues at those tests rather than outstanding roadworthiness concerns. Annual mileage sits at roughly 6,400 miles per year against the car's 2006 build date, which is typical for the age. The records show 112,628 miles on 2 November 2023, rising to 122,781 miles by 25 November 2024 and 128,061 miles by December 2025, equating to about 10,000 miles in year one and under 6,000 in year two. The sparse but consistent entries reveal no prolonged standing periods or sudden accumulation spikes, and the absence of any flagged wear items suggests the previous keeper kept basic consumables within tolerance. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs given the car is now two decades old and beyond the scope of MOT advisories in the supplied data. The two failure entries with no defects recorded warrant verification that the correct vehicle presented on those dates and that no suppressed faults existed at the time. Structural integrity and exhaust emissions have drawn no tester concerns across all five tests. Given the clean pass rate since late 2024, the Golf presents as mechanically sound on paper, but at 128,061 miles the drivetrain and corrosion-prone sills should be physically checked before purchase.
