2015 Land Rover Range Rover 4.4L Diesel · AM12 NJM

Recurring corrosion of the rear brake pipes and wear in the front suspension components define the mechanical history of this vehicle. While a major failure in January 2021 flagged excessively corroded rear brake pipes and worn front suspension hydro bushes, the subsequent record shows a trend toward stability, culminating in a clean pass on 13 January 2026. The recorded mileage of 89,693 miles over an eleven year period represents an average annual accumulation of approximately 8,154 miles. This usage pattern is typical for the age of the vehicle, suggesting a consistent level of wear across the drivetrain and chassis components rather than the risks associated with prolonged standing or excessive high-mileage degradation. Attention should be paid to the braking system and chassis, given the history of corroded rear brake pipes and repeated advisories for worn brake discs and pads. During a test drive, the buyer should feel for any pedal judder or pulsation, which may indicate the pitting and scoring of the front discs noted in the 2025 record. The history of corroded pipes suggests a need to inspect the underside for any signs of fresh corrosion or recent replacement work to ensure the structural integrity of the braking lines. The front suspension requires scrutiny following the 2021 failure for worn hydro bushes and the 2025 advisory regarding a deteriorated ball joint dust cover. Listen for knocks or clunks when driving over speed bumps or during low-speed manoeuvring, as these can be symptoms of worn suspension linkages. Additionally, the oil leak flagged in January 2025 should be verified; a visual inspection of the engine bay and the ground beneath the vehicle is necessary to determine if the leak persists or has been rectified.
