2020 Renault Megane 1.3L Petrol · AO20 XTS

This 2020 Renault Megane presents a very clean MOT history, showing a consistent record of passes with no major safety defects or advisories flagged in recent years. The vehicle has covered approximately 39,328 miles, which aligns with typical usage patterns for a six-year-old car. This suggests the vehicle has likely been used for regular, moderate journeys rather than sitting idle for extended periods or being subjected to extreme high-mileage fleet use. The mechanical trend is stable and positive. The most recent MOT in October 2025 resulted in a pass with only minor notes regarding fitted covers, which are cosmetic and do not indicate underlying mechanical failure. The absence of any recorded advisories across the last four tests is a strong indicator of diligent maintenance and careful ownership. Because the history is remarkably clear, the primary risk is not a pattern of neglect but rather the potential for hidden wear that MOT testing does not cover. While the MOT confirms the car meets basic safety standards, it does not assess the condition of the engine internals, the clutch, or the state of the gearbox. When inspecting the vehicle in person, you should prioritise checking the service history documentation to ensure the engine oil and filters have been changed at the manufacturer's recommended intervals. Pay close attention to the tyres, as the MOT does not provide a detailed tread depth report, and check for any signs of uneven wear that could indicate suspension misalignment.
