2009 Ford Fusion 1.4L Petrol · AV09 WRN

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with a history almost entirely devoid of defects or advisories over the last several years. This stability is evidenced by the clean pass on 25 July 2025, following a brief failure two days prior that was rectified immediately. The absence of recurring issues suggests a vehicle that has remained mechanically sound and compliant with DVSA standards without a pattern of degradation. The recorded mileage of 102,430 miles is typical for a seventeen year old vehicle, averaging approximately 6,025 miles per year. This steady accumulation indicates a consistent usage pattern rather than periods of prolonged stagnation or excessive heavy-duty use. Mechanically, this suggests a balanced level of wear across the drivetrain and chassis components, avoiding the risks associated with both extreme high-mileage fatigue and the seal perishability often found in very low-mileage examples. Given the lack of recorded advisories, the physical inspection should focus on verifying the current state of consumables that may not have reached a failure threshold during testing. A test drive should be used to assess the precision of the steering and the absence of knocks or clunks from the suspension linkages, which are common wear points for this model regardless of a clean MOT sheet. Particular attention should be paid to the smoothness of the gear changes and the absence of any unusual vibrations through the chassis at higher speeds. The absence of structural corrosion or brake system failures in the official records is a positive indicator of the vehicle's integrity. Prospective buyers should still perform a visual check of the underbody for any surface rust and ensure the brake pedal remains firm without judder, confirming that the clean test history translates to a real-world driving experience. Verifying the service history to complement the MOT data will provide a complete picture of the vehicle's mechanical health.
