2002 Land Rover Defender 2.5L Diesel · AY02 GZS

The 2025‑05‑22 MOT at 106,124 miles confirms the Defender remains roadworthy, with no defects recorded and a stable maintenance record. The vehicle’s mileage of 106,124 at 24 years equates to roughly 4,400 miles per year, indicating relatively light use, yet the interval between the 2023‑11‑22 test (103,043 miles) and the 2025‑05‑22 test shows an accumulation of about 3,100 miles in five and a half months, a pace that suggests more regular driving in recent months. A buyer should therefore examine the condition of the front and rear suspension bushes, coil springs and dampers for wear or binding, inspect the brake discs and calipers for scoring or corrosion, and look for any structural rust on the chassis, wheel arches and underbody, as these components are prone to deterioration on a vehicle of this age despite the clean MOT history.
