2016 Ford Transit 2.2L Diesel · AY66 TTV

The 2016 Ford Transit passed its most recent MOT on 2026‑02‑10 at 76,548 miles with no recorded defects, confirming the vehicle remains roadworthy. The maintenance trend is stable to improving; the only historic faults were side repeater lens issues in 2023 and 2019, both classified as non‑critical (4.4.1(b)(i)) and have not reappeared. No new mechanical or structural problems have emerged in the past two years, indicating consistent care. Mileage accumulation shows a typical average of roughly 7,600 miles per year for a ten‑year‑old vehicle, yet the recent data reveals an accelerating usage pattern. Between February 2025 (70,683 miles) and February 2026 (76,548 miles) the odometer rose by 5,865 miles in just five months, while the annual increase from 2024 to 2025 was 3,854 miles. This recent surge suggests higher recent utilisation, which may place additional stress on consumables and wear components. A prospective buyer should closely inspect the side repeater lenses for proper illumination and secure mounting, as the previous defects indicate a potential vulnerability to environmental ingress. Given the higher recent mileage, a thorough examination of suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs and calipers for uneven wear is advisable. Also check for corrosion or rust on the chassis, wheel arches and underbody, and verify exhaust emissions and exhaust system integrity. These targeted inspections will confirm whether the vehicle’s mechanical condition matches the clean MOT history.
