2016 Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0L Petrol · BC16 XBX

The vehicle presents a highly stable maintenance profile with a clean roadworthiness status at its most recent inspection. The MOT test conducted on 28 July 2026 at 100,220 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent streak of clean passes dating back to August 2020, indicating a period of reliable upkeep and a lack of recurring mechanical failures or structural issues. The mileage accumulation follows a consistent and predictable pattern for a ten-year-old vehicle. The car has covered approximately 10,000 miles per year, with the most recent interval between August 2025 and July 2026 showing an increase of 7,230 miles. This steady usage suggests the vehicle is driven regularly rather than sitting idle for long periods, which typically helps prevent issues such as seized calipers or perished rubber components. The only recorded fault in the recent history occurred during the August 2019 test, where the tester noted slight corrosion on both the front and rear brake discs. This appears to be a minor issue related to surface oxidation rather than a systemic failure, as no further brake-related advisories or failures appeared in any subsequent tests through 2026. The absence of advisories regarding suspension bushes, coil springs, or exhaust emissions over the last seven years suggests the chassis and drivetrain have been well-maintained. A prospective buyer should still perform a physical inspection of the braking system and underside to ensure the previous corrosion has not progressed into deeper pitting on the discs or calipers. Given the consistent mileage, checking the condition of consumables like tyres and suspension components remains standard practice, though the documented history provides no evidence of underlying mechanical neglect.
