2007 Honda CBR1000RR 1.0L Petrol · BC57 HHW

A consistent record of clean MOT results spanning the last seven recorded tests indicates a stable pattern of roadworthiness for this vehicle. Since the earliest recorded test in March 2017, there have been no recorded failures or advisories, with the most recent pass on 04 May 2024 showing no defects. This longitudinal data suggests that the components subject to MOT inspection have remained within acceptable operational parameters without the presence of recorded corrosion, fluid leaks, or mechanical wear on braking and lighting systems throughout this period. The recorded mileage of 23,042 miles against a 2007 manufacture date represents a low annual accumulation of approximately 1,213 miles per year. While this low usage profile typically implies less mechanical wear on high-friction components such as the drivetrain, brake pads, and tyres, it also indicates the vehicle has spent significant periods stationary. For a machine of this age, such a usage pattern requires careful inspection of rubber components and seals that may undergo degradation from lack of movement rather than through active use. Given the absence of recorded advisories for leaks or structural issues, a physical inspection should focus on the integrity of rubber hoses, seals, and gaskets which can perish when a vehicle is infrequently used. On a test ride, pay close attention to the smoothness of the throttle response and the absence of any weeping from the fork seals or engine casings. Check for any signs of fluid seepage around the brake calipers and master cylinders, as well as the condition of the fuel system components, ensuring there is no evidence of stale fuel residue or perished rubber lines that could impact reliability. The low mileage also necessitates a close examination of the suspension and chassis components for any signs of surface oxidation or seized linkages that can occur during long periods of inactivity. During operation, listen for any irregular knocks or vibrations from the steering head or swingarm pivot, which could indicate that the lack of regular movement has affected the lubrication of moving parts. Confirm that the braking system provides consistent, progressive pressure without any sudden sponginess or judder, ensuring the hydraulic integrity remains intact despite the low frequency of use.
