2006 LDV Maxus 3.5 CDI 95 LWB 2.5L Diesel · BU06 FVJ

The vehicle's overall roadworthiness is currently poor, as evidenced by the two consecutive MOT failures recorded on 2022-01-06 and 2022-01-07, both occurring at the same mileage of 203,006 miles. This establishes that the vehicle's mechanical condition has deteriorated significantly since the initial passing test in 2021, indicating a clear trend of worsening maintenance history rather than stability. The two failures suggest that the vehicle has not undergone a full period of preventative upkeep, leading to the accumulation of wear on critical components such as suspension bushings, brake discs, and exhaust emissions. The mileage record points to rapid accumulation over approximately two years, with a significant gap between the 2021-01-05 and 2022-01-07 tests. Given the vehicle's age of roughly 20 years, this gap represents a substantial increase in total mileage, which correlates with the wear of consumables and structural components. The data indicates that the vehicle has not been serviced for a full three-year period, which is a critical factor in determining whether the mechanical risks are minor consumable wear or serious structural integrity issues. Given the recurring faults and the failure of the vehicle in two separate tests, a buyer should inspect the vehicle in person to identify whether the issues are related to specific components like suspension bushes, brake binding, or structural rust. A thorough examination is required to determine if the problem has been resolved or if the vehicle remains in a dangerous state, as the maintenance history strongly suggests that basic upkeep was skipped during the period of inactivity.
