2022 Ford Transit 2.0L Diesel · BW22 FAJ

The vehicle presents in a clean roadworthiness state following its most recent MOT test on April 4,2026. At 56,001 miles, the Transit passed with no defects or advisories recorded, indicating a stable maintenance trend where the vehicle currently meets all minimum safety standards. The lack of flagged faults suggests that the primary mechanical and structural components were in functional order according to DVSA requirements at the time of the inspection. The mileage figures reflect a consistent usage pattern of approximately 14,000 miles per year over its four-year lifespan. This volume is typical for a commercial vehicle used for regular business duties rather than a vehicle that has sat stationary. While the record is sparse due to the vehicle's relative youth, the accumulation of mileage without recorded failures in the latest annual check suggests the vehicle has been operated regularly without immediate mechanical neglect. Given the clean MOT history, a physical inspection should focus on components most susceptible to wear under high-mileage use in a Ford Transit. The buyer should examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of premature fatigue or cracking, as these often degrade under heavy loads. The braking system should be checked for lateral caliper binding or uneven disc wear, as the MOT test does not account for the gradual thinning of friction material between intervals. Structural integrity of the chassis is also vital to ensure no hidden corrosion has developed in the sills or mounting points. Because the vehicle has covered over 56,000 miles, the drivetrain and engine mounts should be inspected for any leaks or vibrations that a standard MOT test might overlook. The clean record provides a positive baseline, but a hands-on evaluation of consumables remains necessary to confirm the vehicle's readiness for continued heavy use.
