2016 Skoda Octavia VRS TDI 4X4 S-A 2.0L Heavy oil · BW65 CXL

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a stable and consistent maintenance trend. The most recent MOT test conducted on 29 August 2025 at 124,989 miles returned no defects or advisories. This sustained clean sheet suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a high standard, as no mechanical or structural failures were flagged across the last five testing cycles. The mileage pattern indicates high-frequency usage, averaging approximately 12,500 miles per annum over its decade-long life. Between January 2021 at 88,714 miles and August 2024 at 120,382 miles, the car covered over 31,000 miles, showing a significant increase in activity compared to the lower-mileage intervals seen between 2022 and 2023 tests. This steady accumulation suggests the vehicle was likely used for consistent motorway commuting, which often results in less wear on clutch components than short-distance city driving. Given the lack of recorded MOT advisories, a physical inspection should focus on components subject to high-mileage wear. A buyer should examine the suspension geometry for perished control arm bushes and worn shock absorbers, as these are common failure points on vehicles exceeding 120,000 miles. The braking system requires a close check for thin discs or seized calipers, as the MOT test does not detect minor binding issues. Additionally, verifying the structural integrity of the chassis for corrosion is necessary to ensure that the high mileage has not exposed the frame to excessive road salt damage.
