1985 TVR Sport 3.5L Petrol · C947 FWU

The vehicle demonstrates stable roadworthiness with no defects recorded in its last five consecutive MOT tests, the most recent on 2025-08-22 at 94,188 miles. All annual assessments from 2021 to 2025 show consistent compliance, indicating reliable maintenance practices by previous owners. No advisories or failures are noted, suggesting the car has been preserved to meet legal standards without significant mechanical degradation. The mileage of 94,188 miles over 41 years equates to an average of 2,297 miles annually, reflecting minimal usage. The MOT records show incremental mileage increases of 100–200 miles per year, with no abrupt spikes or extended gaps between tests. This pattern implies the vehicle has been driven sparingly, potentially leading to prolonged inactivity that could affect components like seals, batteries, or suspension bushes. However, the absence of corrosion, structural issues, or drivetrain faults in the tests suggests these risks have not materialized. A buyer should inspect for signs of long-term storage, such as dry rot in rubber components, corrosion on underbody panels, or stiffness in suspension joints due to infrequent use. While the MOT history shows no critical failures, the low mileage and age warrant scrutiny of the chassis, exhaust system, and brake components for hidden wear. The lack of advisories on tyres, brakes, or steering does not preclude routine checks, as older vehicles may develop latent issues not flagged in standard tests.
