2015 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · CA11 PAW

A spotless MOT record across five consecutive years signals that the 2015 Honda Jazz has maintained structural and functional soundness, with the most recent inspection on 8 June 2026 confirming a clean bill of health and no recorded defects. This uninterrupted series of passes suggests that the core systems—brakes, suspension, emissions, and lighting—have remained within acceptable limits and that any wear has been kept in check by regular servicing. At 40,892 miles after 11 years on the road the average annual accumulation is roughly 3,700 miles, well below the typical UK usage pattern for a small hatchback. Such low mileage generally translates to reduced wear on consumables such as brake pads, clutch components, and tyre tread. However, the modest utilisation also raises the possibility of extended periods of inactivity, which can accelerate degradation of rubber seals, hoses, and tyre sidewalls, and may allow moisture to settle in the engine oil and brake fluid if the vehicle has been stored for long stretches. When inspecting the car, pay particular attention to the condition of the suspension bushings and mounts; age‑related hardening can manifest as clunking noises over bumps or a vague vibration at higher speeds. Examine the brake discs and pads for uneven wear or glazing, and test the pedal for a firm, consistent feel without sponginess. Check the coolant reservoir and hoses for any signs of cracking or swelling, and inspect the engine bay for oil or coolant leaks around the valve cover and water pump gaskets—common failure points on low‑mileage, older models. Verify that the tyres have adequate tread depth and uniform wear, and confirm that the tyre sidewalls are free of dry rot, especially if the car has spent time standing idle. On a short test drive, listen for any rattles from the dashboard or footwell that could indicate loose interior trim or deteriorating mounting points. Observe whether the steering remains centred and free of pull, and watch for any hesitation or loss of power during acceleration, which could hint at fuel delivery or ignition wear. A thorough visual inspection of the under‑carriage for corrosion, particularly around the subframe and exhaust hangers, will round off the assessment and help you gauge whether the vehicle’s low‑mileage advantage is matched by its overall condition.
