2012 Toyota Yaris 1.3L Petrol · CA12 FKX

The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness with a stable and clean maintenance trend. The most recent test conducted on 20 June 2025 at 54,507 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, indicating that the car currently meets all statutory safety requirements. This consistent record across the last four years suggests a vehicle that has avoided the common mechanical and structural failures often seen in cars of this age. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a fourteen-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,900 miles per year. Data shows consistent usage over the years, moving from 41,558 miles in June 2021 to 54,507 miles in June 2025. This low usage typically implies significantly less wear on the drivetrain, engine components, and braking system compared to high-mileage counterparts. However, low frequency of use can sometimes lead to the degradation of rubber-based components and seals, which may dry out over time despite the low mileage. While the MOT history lacks recorded faults, a physical inspection should focus on areas associated with low-mileage sitting. A buyer should examine the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of cracking or perished rubber, as these degrade with age regardless of distance. The brake discs should be checked for corrosion or pitting, though the record has shown no binding issues. Additionally, the structural integrity of the chassis should be verified for surface rust, ensuring that the low mileage has not masked hidden oxidation in the sills.
