2006 Vauxhall Vectra 1.9L Diesel · CE06 VXU

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status, though the MOT history indicates a period of inconsistency regarding testing compliance. The most recent test conducted in February 2022 at 128,241 miles resulted in a pass with no recorded defects. This followed a failure just one day prior at 128,201 miles, which suggests a minor issue was rectified immediately to maintain legality. Since no tests have occurred for over four years, the current roadworthiness status is technically unverified and requires an immediate inspection. The mileage pattern remains consistent with a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,400 miles per year. Between December 2019 at 111,583 miles and December 2020 at 121,837 miles, the car covered over 10,000 miles, showing a period of higher usage. However, the interval slowed significantly leading up to the 2022 test. The lack of data since 2022 suggests the vehicle may have sat stationary or is used very infrequently, which often leads to degradation of rubber components and fluid breakdown. A buyer must prioritise a thorough inspection of the structural integrity, particularly the rear arches and sills, which are prone to corrosion on this Vectra generation. Given the four-year gap in official records, the inspector should check for seized brake calipers, perished brake hoses, and dry seals. The suspension bushes and coil springs should be examined for cracking or fatigue, as low-mileage vehicles often suffer from age-related material failure rather than mechanical wear.
