2004 Ford Fusion 1.6L Petrol · CF53 UHJ

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on its MOT history. The most recent test on 10 October 2023 at 127,627 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of passing subsequent to initial failures in 2021 and 2022, suggesting that any identified faults were rectified promptly to meet DVSA standards. The mileage is notably low for a twenty-two year old vehicle, averaging roughly 5,801 miles per year. There is a significant gap in usage between October 2023 and the current date of July 2026, during which the odometer remained static at 127,627 miles. This indicates the car has been stationary for nearly three years, which often introduces risks such as seized brake calipers, perished tyre sidewalls, and degraded battery health. A buyer must prioritise a physical inspection of the braking system and tyres due to this prolonged period of inactivity. While the MOT record shows no history of structural corrosion, suspension bushes, or exhaust emissions issues, the lack of movement since 2023 increases the likelihood of fluid leaks or rubber component degradation. Checking for flat spots on the tyres and ensuring the engine oil has not slumped or degraded is essential. The absence of recurring advisories across the 2021 to 2023 period suggests a level of basic upkeep during its active years. However, the current status is defined by dormancy rather than mechanical wear. The primary concern is not a trend of failure, but the mechanical stagnation resulting from the three-year gap since the last recorded test.
