2023 Porsche Macan 2.9L Petrol · CJ23 PYP

The vehicle presents a mixed mechanical profile based on its DVSA MOT records and usage patterns. Over the years, it has shown a recurring pattern of advisories, particularly around underguards and suspension components, which suggests a consistent area requiring attention. The most recent test on 2026-07-30 confirmed a pass with a clear advisory, indicating that while the car has maintained a clean overall record, there are persistent issues that need monitoring. The mileage of 25,417 miles, combined with its age of approximately three years, aligns with typical wear expectations for a model of this nature, though the annual accumulation rate raises concerns about sustained heavy use or infrequent maintenance. This usage profile implies that components such as the suspension bushings, brake lines, and possibly the subframe may experience increased stress, warranting careful inspection during the drive. The mileage figure stands in contrast to the vehicle’s age, suggesting that the owner may have taken steps to manage wear, but the gaps between tests and the repeated advisories point to a need for vigilance. At this stage, the driver should pay particular attention to the areas flagged in the MOT history, especially where underguards are present, as any signs of wear or corrosion could escalate quickly. The test drive should focus on feeling for any irregularities in steering response, brake pedal feel, and suspension play, as these are the most likely indicators of the underlying mechanical concerns. It is also advisable to listen for any unusual noises when bracing for bumps, which could signal loose or damaged parts. Given the documented advisories and the vehicle’s usage history, the buyer should approach the car with a cautious mindset. The suspension and structural integrity appear to be the primary risk zones, so prioritizing these areas during inspection will be essential. While the overall MOT trend remains positive, the persistent mechanical warnings demand a thorough evaluation before finalizing the purchase. This assessment underscores the importance of addressing the flagged issues promptly to ensure long-term reliability and safety on the road.
