2011 Fiat 500 1.2L Petrol · CK11 WWU

The 2011 Fiat 500’s most recent MOT test on 26 May 2023—conducted at 92,380 miles—confirms the vehicle remains roadworthy under current UK standards, with no defects or advisories recorded. The consecutive pass/fail sequence in late May 2023 (92,377 miles fail, 92,380 miles pass) suggests a minor administrative or procedural oversight rather than a mechanical issue, as the tester did not flag any defects in either test. The last full pass in May 2022 at 81,196 miles indicates a stable maintenance pattern over the past three years, with no recurring faults or escalating advisories. However, the absence of intermediate tests—particularly between May 2022 and May 2023—means there is no data to confirm whether routine servicing or minor repairs were performed during this period. The recorded mileage of 92,380 miles over 15 years aligns with typical usage for this age, averaging approximately 6,159 miles annually. There are no obvious gaps or spikes in mileage accumulation, though the lack of MOT records between May 2022 and May 2023 prevents verification of consistent upkeep. The vehicle’s age and mileage suggest standard wear items—such as suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake components—will require closer inspection, as these are not always captured in MOT tests but can degrade over time. A prospective buyer should prioritise a thorough examination of the suspension system, given the vehicle’s age and mileage. The absence of advisories in recent MOTs does not preclude worn suspension bushes or deteriorated coil springs, which can affect handling and ride quality. Brake components, including calipers, pads, and discs, should also be checked for uneven wear or binding, especially if the vehicle has been driven at higher speeds or in heavy traffic. Structural corrosion, particularly around the wheel arches, sills, and subframe, is another critical area to assess, as it can compromise the vehicle’s integrity without always being detected in an MOT. Given the sparse maintenance history, verifying service records for oil changes, timing belt (if applicable), and fluid levels would further clarify the vehicle’s long-term care.
