2005 Toyota Corolla 1.6L Petrol · CT55 JVY

The 2005 Toyota Corolla presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 2 February 2026 at 32,129 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing a clean run across the available history. Recorded mileage sits at 32,129 miles against 21 years of age, an average of roughly 1,530 miles per year. The tests show 31,022 miles on 26 August 2022, 31,354 on 26 January 2024, 31,891 on 20 January 2025, and 32,129 on 2 February 2026. Annual accumulation stays under 600 miles with no gaps suggesting disuse beyond the 18-month gap before the 2022 entry. The DVSA record itself carries no advisories or faults at any stage. Given the sparse and clean history, a buyer should still verify in person what low mileage and possible standing periods conceal. Long idle spells commonly degrade suspension bushes, brake calipers, and tyres through cracking or flat-spotting rather than wear. The tester logged no corrosion or structural concerns, but sills, subframes, and brake discs warrant a physical inspection for rust and pitting. The absence of recorded defects implies a careful or lightly used ownership pattern, yet no MOT captures hidden intermittent faults. A pre-purchase check should confirm fluid condition, handbrake function, and exhaust integrity beyond the scope of the annual test.
