2014 Vauxhall Astra SRI 1.4L Petrol · CV63 VUO

The Vauxhall Astra presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent DVSA test on 4 July 2025 at 78,664 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the two prior tests on 10 September 2023 at 70,260 miles and 20 August 2022 at 60,450 miles also passed clean. The absence of any advisories across three consecutive examinations indicates the previous keeper addressed wear before each annual test and the vehicle shows no worsening mechanical condition. Recorded mileage sits at a typical level for a 2014 registered car, averaging roughly 6,555 miles per year. The gap between the August 2022 and September 2023 tests covers 9,810 miles, then 8,404 miles to the July 2025 test, a consistent low-use pattern with no rapid accumulation or standing periods evident. The sparse three-entry history shows only clean passes, so the record gives no evidence of neglected consumables or deferred structural repairs. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection despite the clean MOT trail. The tester logged no suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, or corrosion issues, but twelve-year-old Vauxhalls commonly develop subframe rust and worn rear trailing arm bushes that a visual test can miss if not flagged. Verify the condition of tyres, exhaust emissions, and structural integrity underneath before purchase. Given the low annual mileage and unbroken pass record, the Astra likely received basic but adequate care from a single or few owners. The lack of repeat advisories suggests no ongoing fault trend. Treat the clean history as a positive baseline rather than a guarantee, and confirm service paperwork to corroborate the odometer and upkeep.
