2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.6L Petrol · CX13 JNN

The Suzuki Grand Vitara presents as roadworthy following the most recent test, with the December 2024 examination at 53,807 miles returning a pass and no defects logged. The maintenance trend is stable across the recorded history, showing no escalating mechanical concerns. The vehicle cleared its 2022, 2023, and 2024 tests without advisories, though the 2023-10-05 and 2024-12-05 failures were recorded with zero defects noted, indicating administrative or presentation issues at the testing station rather than fault-based rejections. At roughly 13 years old, the odometer reads a low 53,807 miles, equating to about 4,139 miles per year. The records show gentle accumulation: 50,242 miles in October 2022, 51,880 miles in October 2023, and 53,807 miles by December 2024. This sparse, clean data with no advisories on consumables or structure suggests light use, possibly with periods of standing. Low annual mileage paired with zero flagged corrosion or suspension wear implies the previous keeper avoided harsh duty cycles. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody corrosion, as MOT passes with no defects do not confirm absence of early-stage rust on a 2013 chassis. The tester logged no brake disc or caliper concerns, yet standing vehicles often develop seized handbrake mechanisms or flat-spotted tyres from inactivity. Verify the actual condition of suspension bushes and coil springs beneath the car. Given the two defect-free failures, confirm with the seller what triggered the 2023 and 2024 rejections before purchase. The history implies conscientious basic upkeep, but low mileage alone does not certify drivetrain health on a Suzuki of this age.
