2016 Ford KA 1.2L Petrol · CX16 MUW

The 2016 Ford Ka presents a clean roadworthiness status with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 17 April 2025 at 36,826 miles passed with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken sequence of passes. Prior tests on 18 April 2024 at 32,894 miles, 20 April 2023 at 28,813 miles, and 14 January 2022 at 25,060 miles also recorded no defects. The vehicle shows no worsening faults, no advisories, and no recurring mechanical concerns across the four-year record. The mileage pattern confirms very light use for a ten-year-old car. From the January 2022 test at 25,060 miles to April 2025 at 36,826 miles, the Ka covered only 11,766 miles in just over three years, an average near 3,683 miles per year. The gap between the 2022 and 2023 tests spanned fifteen months rather than twelve, yet mileage rose by a modest 3,753 miles. The DVSA data is sparse but entirely clean, with no consumable wear items such as tyres, wiper blades, or brake discs ever flagged. A buyer should still inspect the car in person for issues low-mileage, periodically standing vehicles typically hide. Long idle periods encourage perished suspension bushes, flat-spotted tyres, and surface corrosion on structural members even when the MOT shows no defects. The tester recorded no exhaust emissions or binding caliper faults, but these can develop between tests. Given the absence of any historical advisories, previous owners appear to have kept basic upkeep current despite limited use. Verify underbody condition, check for seized handbrake mechanisms, and confirm fluid intervals before purchase.
