2021 Honda NSS 750 M 0.7L Petrol · D11 WKD

The most recent MOT test conducted on 12 June 2026 resulted in a pass with no recorded defects. Evaluating the full history provided, the maintenance trend appears exceptionally stable, with consecutive passes in 2024, 2025, and 2026 showing no evidence of recurring mechanical issues or escalating advisories. This consistency suggests a vehicle that has been well-kept or has not been subjected to the heavy usage patterns that typically lead to structural or component failure. The recorded mileage of 8,631 miles for a five-year-old vehicle represents very low annual usage, averaging approximately 1,726 miles per year. While this indicates minimal wear on the engine, drivetrain, and braking components, such low mileage often implies that the vehicle has spent significant periods stationary. In the automotive and motorcycle sectors, low-mileage vehicles require a different inspection focus, as components can degrade due to time and environmental exposure rather than mechanical friction and usage. Given the clean MOT record and low mileage, your physical inspection should prioritise age-related degradation. Closely examine the tyres for any signs of perishing, such as sidewall cracking or a hardened rubber texture, as tyres can become unsafe due to age even if the tread depth remains high. You should also check for flat-spotting on the tyres, which can occur if the vehicle has been parked in one position for long periods. Inspect the drive chain for surface corrosion or stiff links, and ensure the suspension forks show no signs of seal leakage, which can happen when seals dry out from lack of movement. Furthermore, you must verify that time-based maintenance has been performed. Check the brake fluid for clarity, as it is hygroscopic and can absorb moisture over time, potentially leading to internal corrosion or reduced braking efficiency. Ensure the battery is in good health, as infrequent charging cycles can lead to sulfation and reduced capacity. During the test ride, listen for any irregular noises from the bearings or suspension bushes and check that the brakes do not bind or shudder, which could indicate calipers that have seized slightly due to standing. Finally, cross-reference the mileage with the service book to ensure all interval-based maintenance has been carried out according to the manufacturer's schedule.
