2019 Audi A5 2.0L Petrol · D5 CAR

This vehicle presents a consistent track record of roadworthiness, having secured five consecutive passes without a single recorded defect or advisory since its initial testing. The most recent inspection on 10 July 2026 confirms this trend of clean compliance, showing no mechanical failures or items requiring attention. This absence of recorded issues across the five-year testing period indicates that the components subject to MOT scrutiny, such as braking systems, lighting, steering, and emissions, have met the required standards at every interval. The recorded mileage of 47,573 miles over approximately seven years equates to an average annual accumulation of roughly 6,796 miles. This usage pattern is consistent with typical light-to-moderate driving rather than high-intensity motorway use or excessive short-trip urban cycles. Mechanically, this level of mileage suggests that while consumable items like brake pads, discs, and tyres will have undergone standard wear, the primary drivetrain and structural components have not been subjected to the high-frequency stress associated with much higher mileage examples. Given the lack of recorded advisories, there are no specific mechanical defects, such as suspension bush degradation, brake pipe corrosion, or oil misting, to flag for immediate investigation. However, because the MOT record only captures items relevant to legal roadworthiness at the moment of testing, a prospective buyer should still perform targeted checks on common wear items. On a test drive, pay close attention to the steering for any pulling or vibration, which could indicate wheel alignment or suspension issues, and listen for any knocks or clunks from the suspension linkages when navigating uneven surfaces or speed bumps. The braking system should be evaluated for any pedal judder or unevenness, which might suggest disc thickness variations or binding calipers, even though no such issues were noted in the recent 2026 pass. Additionally, while the emissions and exhaust systems have passed consistently, it is prudent to monitor the engine for any unusual idling or smoke during the test drive to ensure the combustion efficiency remains stable. The vehicle's history shows no evidence of long-term stationary periods or significant mileage fluctuations that would necessitate specialized checks for seized components or fluid degradation.
