2012 Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0L Diesel · DA12 AAE

The vehicle currently presents a stable roadworthiness status, having passed its last two annual inspections without any recorded defects. The most recent test in September 2025 at 157,417 miles shows a clean sheet, indicating that the mechanical issues identified in previous years have been addressed. While the history shows a period of reactive maintenance between 2019 and 2023, the current trend suggests the vehicle is being maintained to a standard that prevents failure. The mileage pattern is consistent with a 14-year-old van, averaging approximately 11,200 miles per year. There is a steady increase in usage, moving from 96,289 miles in 2016 to over 157,000 miles today. A notable period of activity occurred between 2021 and 2022, where 4,100 miles were covered. This regularity suggests the vehicle has been used consistently rather than sitting for long periods, which typically helps prevent moisture-related degradation of seals and drivetrain components. A buyer should pay close attention to the braking and suspension systems due to recurring faults in these areas. The record notes corroded brake pipes covered in grease during 2019 and 2023, which suggests a history of surface rust or previous attempts to mask pipe decay with lubricant. Additionally, the vehicle has a history of steering component failures, including track rod ends, steering rack joints, and worn top mounts. An inspection should verify the absence of play in the steering assembly and check the integrity of the brake lines to ensure the previous repairs remain effective.
