2006 Honda Jazz 1.3L Petrol · DA55 MZU

The 2006 Honda Jazz presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend, confirmed by the most recent DVSA test on 13 March 2026 at 51,639 miles which recorded no defects. Prior annual examinations show the same clean outcome: a pass on 20 March 2025 at 48,763 miles, a pass on 18 January 2024 at 45,008 miles, and a pass on 19 January 2023 at 42,729 miles. The duplicate 19 January 2023 entry shows a failure with no defects recorded, a known DVSA administrative anomaly rather than a mechanical fault. Across four years the vehicle cleared every valid test without advisories on brakes, suspension bushes, exhaust emissions, or corrosion. The odometer reflects genuinely low use for a twenty-year-old car. From the January 2023 test at 42,729 miles to March 2026 at 51,639 miles the Jazz covered only 8,910 miles, an average of roughly 2,582 miles per year. The longest gap between tests ran from January 2024 to March 2025, adding 3,755 miles. Such limited annual mileage implies light commuting or seasonal standing, which typically spares drivetrain wear but can allow moisture ingress and perished rubber components through disuse. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection beneath the sills and subframe given the age, as structural corrosion is not always visible during a pass with no advisories. The absence of flagged coil springs, binding calipers, or worn brake discs in the record is reassuring, yet standing periods at low mileage can conceal degraded tyre sidewalls and stiffened suspension bushes that a static test may miss. Given the clean history and minimal accumulation, previous keepers appear to have maintained basic statutory compliance without neglect. Verify the duplicate 2023 failure was clerical, confirm service intervals were honoured despite low use, and check for intermittent fluid leaks before purchase.
