2012 Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0L Diesel · DC62 JPC

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness evidenced by a consistent record of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent inspection conducted on 10 September 2025 at 107,074 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the previous owner has proactively addressed mechanical and safety requirements before they reached a failing threshold, maintaining the vehicle in peak operational condition. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent with the vehicle's age, averaging approximately 7,650 miles per year. Between the 2021 test at 83,328 miles and the 2025 test at 107,074 miles, the car covered 23,746 miles at regular intervals of roughly 5,000 to 6,000 miles per annum. This steady usage pattern suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of stagnation, which often leads to seal degradation or brake corrosion in older Volkswagen Group models. While the MOT history shows no recurring faults, a buyer should focus their physical inspection on specific components common to the Scirocco of this age and mileage. Given the 107,000-mile mark, verify the condition of the suspension arm bushes and coil springs for signs of perished rubber or fatigue, as the MOT does not detect minor bushing play. Inspect the underside for any surface corrosion on the sills and rear sub supports, despite the clean record indicating no structural integrity issues to date.
