2007 Citroen C1 1.0L Petrol · DE07 OYU

The 2007 Citroen C1 presents a stable mechanical trend culminating in a clean pass on 17 August 2024 at 159,325 miles, with zero defects recorded. However, the MOT history contains anomalies that warrant scrutiny. A test on 25 July 2024 at 159,276 miles registered a failure despite no defects being listed, suggesting an administrative anomaly or an aborted test rather than a mechanical fault. Similarly, the 2022 record shows a failure and a pass on the same day at 150,541 miles, indicating an immediate retest following a minor rectification. The maintenance trend remains fundamentally stable, though the record lacks the granular detail of specific defect resolutions. The mileage accumulation reveals a distinct shift in usage patterns over the vehicle's nineteen-year lifespan. Between June 2022 and June 2023, the car covered a mere 1,424 miles, pointing to very light use or prolonged periods of inactivity. This was followed by a more active thirteen-month period where the odometer climbed 7,311 miles to reach 159,276 miles by July 2024. Since the August 2024 pass, the recorded mileage has barely moved, increasing by only 49 miles. As of today, 8 July 2026, the vehicle has stood for nearly two years with virtually no distance covered, raising questions about the viability of its fluids and the condition of its consumables. A prospective buyer must inspect the vehicle thoroughly for the effects of this recent dormancy. Extended standing causes tyre flat-spotting, brake disc corrosion, and seized calipers. Check the condition of the rubber suspension bushes and coil springs for perishing, as a car of this age sitting stationary will degrade these components faster than one in daily use. Examine the exhaust system for corrosion and verify the structural integrity of the underbody and sills. The lack of recent MOT entries since August 2024 means the current roadworthiness is entirely unproven. A pre-purchase inspection is essential to verify the condition of perishable items like brake fluid and engine oil, which will have absorbed moisture during the prolonged stationary period.
