2022 Hyundai Kona Premium GDI HEV S-A 1.6L Hybrid electric (clean) · DE72 ADV

The vehicle is currently roadworthy following a successful MOT test on June 8 2026. While the car passed the inspection, the maintenance trend shows a shift from a clean record in 2025 to a series of tyre-related advisories. The most recent test at 20,394 miles indicates that while the mechanical components remained functional, the consumable rubberwork has reached significant degradation since the previous year. At four years of age, the recorded mileage of 20,394 miles represents a low annual average of approximately 5,100 miles. This low usage typically suggests the vehicle has faced minimal strain on the drivetrain and suspension. However, the gap between the June 2025 test at 15,992 miles and the June 2026 test shows an accumulation of only 4,402 miles, which correlates with the age-related degradation observed in the tyres rather than rapid tread wear. A buyer should conduct a thorough inspection of the tyre set, as the latest record flagged the offside front for being worn to the legal limit and unevenly, alongside cracking and perishing on the other three tyres. These signs of aging often result from the vehicle sitting stationary for long periods or exposure to elements without frequent use. Check the sidewalls for deep structural cracks and ensure the alignment is not causing the specific edge wear noted on the offside front.
