2016 BMW 430 3.0L Diesel · DL16 BWP

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a remarkably stable maintenance trend. The most recent inspection conducted in April 2026 at 56,360 miles resulted in a clean pass, indicating that the car currently meets all statutory safety requirements. This follows a series of clean passes in previous years, suggesting that the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that prevents mechanical or structural failure. The mileage profile is notably low for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 5,600 miles per annum. Between May 2022 and April 2026, the car covered 15,611 miles, showing a consistent and gentle usage of roughly 3,900 miles per year. This low-frequency use typically results in reduced wear on drivetrain components, engine, and suspension assemblies. However, low-mileage vehicles can sometimes suffer from degradation of rubber components or brake caliper corrosion if the car sits stationary for extended periods. While the MOT history is clean, a buyer should focus their physical inspection on specific components susceptible to low-mileage standing. The test in May 2022 noted a cut on the nearside rear tyre, which was a minor consumable issue that did not recur or escalate. Given the age of the BMW, the inspector should check for cracking on tyre sidewalls and brake binding as infrequent use can lead to surface rust on the discs. Checking the suspension bushings and control arms is also advisable, as these materials can perish over a decade regardless of the distance driven.
