2013 Vauxhall Movano 2.3L Diesel · DN63 AXM

A history of defect-free tests between 2016 and 2020 transitioned into a period of minor electrical failures and mechanical wear by 2021, though the most recent test on 7 February 2022 resulted in a pass with only screen damage noted as an advisory. This shift indicates a move from a clean record toward the expected wear of an aging commercial vehicle, specifically regarding lighting and chassis components. The recorded mileage of 105,489 miles represents an average annual accumulation of approximately 8,115 miles over thirteen years, which is typical for a vehicle of this age and type. This usage pattern suggests a steady rate of wear on drivetrain components, suspension bushings, and braking systems, without the extreme stresses associated with high-mileage commercial use or the degradation often seen in vehicles left stationary for extended periods. Attention should be directed toward the front braking system and suspension linkages, as the 2021 records specifically flagged pitted and scored front brake discs and slight play in the nearside front suspension arm ball joint. During a test drive, listen for knocking or clicking sounds when traversing uneven road surfaces or during low-speed manoeuvring, and feel for any pedal judder or unevenness during braking, which would indicate that the previously noted disc wear has progressed. The screen damage noted in the most recent 2022 test should be inspected for cracks or chips that may impair visibility or fail a current inspection. Additionally, while the lighting and mirror failures of 2021 were rectified for the subsequent pass, a full check of all exterior lamps and the security of the wing mirrors is advised to ensure no further degradation of these components has occurred.
