2005 Honda Jazz 1.2L Petrol · DS05 RCO

The vehicle currently lacks a valid MOT certificate, as the most recent test occurred on 14 June 2022. While that final test resulted in a pass at 47,053 miles, the car has been off the official testing cycle for over four years. The maintenance trend appears stable based on the limited data provided, with no defects or advisories recorded across the 2021 and 2022 inspections. The mileage is exceptionally low for a 21 year old vehicle, averaging roughly 2,241 miles per year. Between 27 July 2021 and 14 June 2022, the odometer increased by 5,206 miles, moving from 41,847 to 47,053. This indicates the car was in active use during that period, but the total lack of recorded mileage or testing since mid 2022 suggests the vehicle has likely been stationary for a significant duration. A buyer must prioritise a thorough inspection of the braking system and rubber components. Long periods of inactivity often lead to binding calipers, seized brake discs, and perished tyre sidewalls. The lack of recent data means there is no current confirmation of the vehicle's structural integrity or the state of its suspension bushes and coil springs. Check for signs of corrosion on the chassis and sills, as stagnant vehicles are prone to moisture traps. Verify the health of the battery and fluid levels, as oil and coolant degrade over time regardless of mileage. A fresh MOT is essential to identify any dormant mechanical failures that have developed since the 2022 test.
