2018 BMW X3 3.0L Diesel · DS18 BBV

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness with a stable and consistent maintenance trend. The most recent MOT test conducted on 3 September 2025 at 70,129 miles resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This clean record across multiple years suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard where critical mechanical and safety components are currently operating within acceptable DVSA parameters. The mileage pattern is consistent with an eight-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,700 miles per annum. Data from the August 2022 test at 20,716 miles to the September 2025 test at 70,129 miles shows a steady usage profile without unusual bursts of high mileage or long periods of neglect. The interval between the August 2023 and August 2024 tests saw an accumulation of 16,807 miles, indicating a typical rate of use that generally reduces accelerated wear on rubber bushings and drivetrain components compared to high-mileage motorway fleet vehicles. Because the MOT history shows no recurring structural corrosion, brake issues, or suspension failures, a buyer should focus on a physical inspection of wear-related items that do not always trigger a failure. Inspect the condition of the front suspension control arm bushings for cracking and check the thickness of the brake pads and discs for uneven wear. Given the low mileage, verify the absence of fluid leaks from the engine seals or gearbox transfer housing, as infrequent use can sometimes lead to seal degradation that a standard MOT test would not detect.
