2017 Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6L Diesel · DU67 XBO

The vehicle's overall roadworthiness is currently non-compliant due to a recurring failure pattern identified in the MOT record. The most recent test on 2025-07-04 was passed at 71,272 miles, establishing a baseline of acceptable performance, but this performance has deteriorated significantly since that date. The failure recorded on 2025-07-02 at 71,268 miles indicates that the vehicle has not met safety standards for the past two years, with the most recent pass occurring in late 2025. This sequence of testing demonstrates a clear trend of worsening roadworthiness, where the vehicle is currently in a state of disrepair despite its age. The mileage accumulation is not uniform; the vehicle has experienced a notable gap of approximately 4,700 miles in the second half of 2025, which is consistent with the vehicle's 9-year age. While the mileage per year remains roughly 7,919, the absence of a 2025-07-17 test suggests that the vehicle has been stationary or maintained at a reduced speed since the most recent failure. This gap indicates that the vehicle has been idle for a substantial period, allowing wear to accumulate on critical components such as suspension bushings, brake discs, and exhaust emissions, which are common causes of failure in older models. A buyer should inspect the vehicle for structural integrity and mechanical wear, specifically focusing on the suspension, brakes, and drivetrain. The repeated failure on 2025-07-02 and 2025-07-02 suggests that the vehicle has not undergone proper maintenance during this gap, leading to increased risk of catastrophic failure. The most likely issues involve binding rear brakes or binding front brakes, as well as potential corrosion on suspension bushings and exhaust emissions, which are standard risks for a 2017 vehicle in its age group. The lack of a recent MOT test confirms that the vehicle is not currently safe to drive, and the history of failures indicates that the vehicle requires immediate attention before it can be legally driven again.
